A Round-Up of Lovely Nativity Sets!

In the midst of all the glitter, garland, and tinsel, my favorite Christmas decorations I put out each year are our nativity sets. I love the sentiment behind them: a constant visual reminder in our homes to point us back to the meaning of Christmas, to baby Jesus in the manger. Because that’s what it’s all about! Today I am sharing my favorite ones to give and to collect!

There are so many options for nativity sets now, too! I love the kid-friendly versions that my girls can play with. I also love the more modern and collectible sets — they make a fabulous gift, and heirloom!

I get so many questions about the Little People Nativity (pictured above!) one every year and it is on sale today! This large, fabric set is also sweet for little hands. Both are great for children to play with while you read them the Christmas story. A great teaching tool!

The little one pictured above is by Lo Home and is featured on several of our Gift Guides this year. It comes in the loveliest box (perfect for gifting and storage!) and you can get 15% off with code DSG15. Order soon if you want this one because Lo Home’s Christmas collection is selling out quickly.

My children also love our shatter-proof Fontanini set. I add a new piece every year and my girls are always excited to see who it will be. This is on our Couples and Families Guide because a starter set is a great gift for a family who wants to start their own collection.

Little ones can't break this set and will may just play with it all year! Great toddler gift!
An Advent calendar and nativity set, in one! Comes in the most beautiful box, too.
Young children will love playing with this colorful fabric nativity.
I love this handcrafted wool set from Maisonette!
This peg doll nativity set is ideal for toddlers, and also a perfect on-the-go toy!
The beautiful box this wooden set comes in makes it ready to gift!
22K gold accents. Handcrafted. This set from Lo Home has heirloom written all over it.
This classic Fontanini nativity set would be a wonderful newlywed gift! They can built on it for years.
This MacKenzie-Childs set would make a fabulous mother-in-law gift!

If gift-giving looks different for you or someone you know this year, a nativity set would be a thoughtful present — something to remind everyone that what matters most is the baby in the manger!

Do you have a favorite nativity set? I would love to know!

  1. I bought the little people set after having my eye on it for a few years. I am so excited to give it to my little girl. She’s thankfully still much more excited about Baby Jesus than Santa, and I hope to keep that up by giving her this!
