One of the best parts about going to camp is receiving mail from family members. By popular request, today we are sharing a few ideas we put together for camp care packages as inspiration for your child this summer! Whether you’re sending a package to just your child or a small surprise for the whole cabin, we’ve got you covered!
While putting together camp care packages for boys, there is one key thing to remember: Send things that they will be able to use at camp. Snacks are always a great option, but many camps don’t allow food to be sent via care packages so double check any rules!
The secret to girl care packages is sending items that they can do with their new camp friends: friendship bracelets, finger knitting, and autograph pillowcases are a great ideas for the perfect care package!
Want to assemble a little surprise for every member of the cabin? Heading to the dollar section is usually as far as you need to go to put together the perfect care package! You can find great things like glow sticks, light up balloons, hair accessories, and so much more! Sending the perfect care package does not mean breaking the break, but rather finding items they can have fun with at camp!
A few more tips:
If you are a parent of a first time camper, sending mail is so special. Having something to open will make your child’s day, no matter the size!
On that note, not every camper will receive mail at camp so sending something extra on the last day for everyone can make a huge difference in another child’s camping experience.
If your camp allows food, sending a pack of goldfish or another snack for everyone is plenty or sending a pack of glow sticks for everyone to have. Buying things that come multiple to a pack are perfect for this!

My friends mom used to send us Archie comics! I was never really into comics but they were so fun to read at camp for some reason!
Great idea!!
I sent portable neck fans last year as camp can be so hot! It was great to see pictures of my gals wearing those neck fans and staying cool. Even this year, one of my gals asked if we still had her neck fan for camp!
Good to know! Thank you!
