Whenever we travel to 30A, one of my favorite things to do at the beginning of the trip is head to the store and get groceries for the week. I know that doesn’t sound like the most exciting activity, especially when you consider we just arrived at the beach, but there’s just something about having everything we need that sets our family up for a great vacation. I’ve got meals at home covered, the girls have snacks, we’ve got things on hand in case someone wants to make a quick little something to go, and we can really just enjoy ourselves and not have to worry about a thing. I’m all about that prep work!

There’s also something to be said about bringing those creature comforts from home with you when you travel. Which is why I love the ease of Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery! It’s so helpful to be able to get the same brands and foods they’re familiar with from home. When we travel, that really is a game changer with my girls. It’s so convenient to be able to get almost all of the same items — with the same expected quality — anywhere we go.
I also love that I can order everything we need from my phone before we even get there, drive right up to Walmart, and have all of our groceries placed in my car. I can even order poolside or from the beach. It’s hard to remember the days when I would spend hours at the store the first day of vacation. Now I can place the order in the car on the way down and it’s ready for me whenever I choose!
If you’ve followed along with my Instagram Stories lately, you’ve probably seen some of the delicious dinners my husband has been cooking while we’ve been in Florida. My recent favorite was his shrimp and grits — not only is the seafood so fresh, but we were able to get all of his favorite spices at Walmart for his spice mixes. All I had to do was place the order, let Walmart’s highly trained Pickup & Delivery associates shop for our items, and then everything was ready for my husband to cook. Again…dreams!
In all seriousness, we’ve been soaking up every minute of our time here in 30A as a family. As strange as this past year has been at times, the time at home with my family has been the biggest blessing — and something that I’ll always cherish. It’s definitely extra work doing school at home and it’s hard for my girls to not have all of their usual extracurricular activities. But this time has been so special for us, and anything that allows me even more time to spend with them is just the icing on top.
So I’m so grateful that Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery is not just easy and convenient, but something that I have access to when we travel! It’s a huge time-saver for busy families — and can save you even more time when you’re busy making memories.
