Y’all LOVED last year’s tasteful swimsuit guide! It was one of the most popular blog posts on DoSayGive all year so we’ve put together another one for 2020! I intended to share this in early March but COVID-19 halted everyone’s spring break plans. Even if you aren’t traveling for a while, I hope this guide will help you with shopping for swimsuits to wear by your pool, at the lake or wherever you might be this summer – even your backyard!
One piece swimsuits and tankinis don’t have to be boring. I’ve gathered some of my favorite swimsuit brands and styles (both high and low options) that are both cute and functional – so perfect for moms like me!
I love a pretty one-piece, especially when having to chase a toddler around. This one-piece (above!) was part of a Helen Jon x Draper James collection last year and I wore it all summer long. It’s back again this year and on sale right now. It is so flattering with the ruffle detail. This halter swimsuit and this strapless navy swimsuit (pictured below!) are also favorites from the collection. The suits are pricey but are so well-made and so well-fitting. Grab them while they are on sale!
You can never go wrong with a tasteful black one piece. This one is by Trina Turk- I packed it for Hawaii earlier this year! (Runs 1-sizes small.) Coverup linked here.
Target does it again with their black swimsuit selection. This black crochet off the shoulder suit looks way more expensive than it is. I also love this flattering black one-piece. Another trend in swimwear is scallops, like this swimsuit that is north of $300. But this one is under $40 and has the same scallops on the edges that are so cute!
Another great budget-friendly find is this one from Walmart! Y’all it is under $20 today and stocked in all sizes. It looks so much more expensive than it is. Note: this bathing suit has defined cups so might not be great for larger busted ladies.
Trina Turk is known for her ruffle off the shoulder swimsuits that are so cute but tend to be pricey. I decided to get one before my trip to Hawaii and was so glad I did! It’s an investment piece for sure but I think the quality certainly matches the price. It also runs really small. I got a 6 but probably can wear an 8.
