Extra Special Baby Gift Ideas!

Give

Even though we can’t go visit a new baby right now, we can still celebrate from afar with a thoughtful gift. Today I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite (extra-special!) baby gift ideas from our Baby Gift Guide.

You all know I love Camille’s Creations. She is a Dallas-based small business and a wonderful business to support right now. Her personalized porcelain baby shoe is such a special keepsake gift. It can be personalized with the baby’s name, birthdate and time, and length and weight. I The pink shoe is pictured above and she also makes a blue one for boys as well.

Camille is offering 15% off right now with the code CAMILLESDFW15. The discount applies to the shoes, hand-painted plates, and crosses. Think about Christening gifts as well! All of these make great gifts so think ahead and stock up for upcoming gifts while they are on sale.

A Moses basket from The Proper Peony is another extra-special baby gift. This is a great gift to give as a group- perfect for a group of girlfriends to go in on together to celebrate a friend’s new baby. It comes in blue, pink or white and make the most beautiful backdrop for baby pictures.

At a lower price point, The Proper Peony also carries matching quilted blankets. Like the Moses basket, they are hand embroidered and made of the softest pima cotton and Italian-milled pique. You can shop the full layette collection here

Another great gift in the $30 price range is this beautiful custom made frame ornament from Collier James Designs. After you place an order you send a file of the announcement and they will create a a beautiful keepsake gift. Give it for a baby gift or for baby’s first Christmas!

baby blanket

You might remember this blanket from past posts on DoSayGive. This is the blanket that The Duchess of Cambridge used to wrap George and Charlotte in as they left the hospital. G.H. Hurt blankets are knitted in the most delicate, scalloped-edged patterns and are made from cotton ($108) and Cashmere ($188). They can be hard to find but Hip Hip Hooray here in Dallas carries them and they ship nationwide (and wrap beautifully!). This is definitely an heirloom-worthy gift!

Dallas locals you may remember our post on the “Fresh 48” photo sessions with Molly Coulter. She is going to begin offering family photo sessions again in late June! You can read more about her work here. A gift certificate for a session with Molly would be such a thoughtful gift since many families haven’t been able to take newborn photos during quarantine. Reach out to Molly here

We have many more ideas on our New Baby Gift Guide! We update this guide year around so be sure to take a look when you are shopping for baby gifts.

And don’t forget about Big Brother and Big Sister. We have lots of gift ideas in this post including the darling Stork on the Stoop!
