Merry Christmas, from Our Family to Yours!

Merry, merry Christmas to you! I hope, wherever you find yourself reading this, that this year’s Christmas is one filled with the peace and hope that this beautiful season offers. I’ve thought a lot about those two words this year — and I’m not sure that a year or Christmas season has needed peace and hope more than this one. What a sweet thing it is to end what will probably be the strangest, most challenging year of many of our lives focusing on the hope-filled gift we’ve been given through the Son of God being born 2,000 years ago.

“A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.”

How true this is in 2020. So many of us are weary, tired. We’ve been homeschooling, working remotely, suffered job loss, experienced disappointment. Hope does feel like a thrill, almost — that there’s finally a light at the end of a very long tunnel that we’ve been longing to see. I encourage you to take heart, as that thrill has been there all along and always will be. Through Jesus’s birth, death, and resurrection, we are able to have hope and rejoice even in the darkest times. What precious truth to cling to this year.

I know that many of you may feel extremely weary and hope may feel far off. Please know that you are not alone. God’s Word says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Even when times are dark, Jesus is the light by which we can see.

I want to thank you for allowing me to help you make this holiday season brighter, whether by helping you find gifts with our Holiday Gift Guide, or by helping you navigate these unprecedented times with grace. It’s been an honor and a joy. Thank you for all of your emails, comments, and messages not only throughout the holiday season, but this entire year. It’s been a true gift to connect with so many of you!

Let’s rejoice in the peace and hope of Christmas, together. That God’s Son was born in a manger all those years ago, all for His glory and our good.

A thrill of hope, indeed!
