Last week we launched our Teacher Gift Guide, but today I wanted to share an easy DIY Teacher Gift Basket that is perfect for Teacher Appreciation Week or and end of the school year gift!
Gift baskets don’t need to be fancy and definitely don’t need to break the bank. Teachers appreciate practical gifts, but mostly they appreciate the thought that has been put into the gift. Gift baskets also make great class gifts where each family can contribute an item or gift card.
This year I created this summer-themed gift basket that is filled with all things summer. I used a simple basket from Target, but the dollar store has cute colored tubs or you can use something you already have!
I stuffed it with everything you need for a day at the pool, including a selection of popular magazines, cute pool cups and napkins from Oliver Hooper Paper, a favorite sunscreen, flip flops, a beach towel, and, of course, La Croix. Everything in the basket is under $20, but can easily be recreated for any price. You could also throw in a juice bar gift or ice cream gift card. For a class gift, have everyone contribute something fun and summery!
DIY baskets are great ideas for teacher gifts and there are so many different themes you could use. I love the idea of doing a “relax” theme and including all things for a relaxing day at home, like a face mask, bubble bath and nail polish. (Sephora is having a sale right now so you could stock up!)
Another way you could go would be doing a “teacher’s favorite things” basket and including Expo markers, her favorite pens, Clorox wipes or anything else the teacher loves to use in his or her classroom. You could also put together a fun Topo Chico crate with a few bottles of Topo Chico, limes and some cute cups. World Market has a cute Wooden Basket set to make these types of gifts even easier!
There are endless ideas for these DIY basket! Have you ever put together a basket for a teacher? Please share your ideas and pin this post! Also, make sure to check out our Pinterest board here for more creative gift ideas!
