I don’t know about you, but I am ready for crisp fall air, pumpkins on the porch, and cozy sweaters. Today we’re highlighting our favorite classic wardrobe staples for fall that I hope will make putting together your daily outfits a little easier. I’ve already ordered a few of these pieces and can hardly wait for cooler weather so I can start wearing them.
If you caught my Instagram stories over the weekend, you saw a little preview of some of the things I ordered for fall. (See my “fall” highlights.) All of the pieces above mix and match so nicely. You may have similar pieces in your closet already so you can just add a few of the items for a great fall capsule. A great scarf, classic sweater, and pretty earrings go a long way in making a simple jean and sneaker or ballet flat outfit look so “smart” as the English say. And of course this year we had to add a pretty vintage mask chain to the mix!
Up first: The Dudley Stephens fleece! It might be a bit of a splurge item but y’all it is worth it! I wore my navy Cobble Hill Turtleneck so much last fall and winter that I decided to order it in the off white and light blue this year. I love the classic, tailored look and the quality is outstanding. (They do great in the washing machine!) These sold out early last season so if you are thinking about purchasing, snag one sooner rather than later. Or add to your birthday wishlist if you have a fall birthday. Also, they just released two new styles yesterday. I included the new puff sleeve fleece above and this one with buttons is also pretty!
Tuckernuck is one of my go-to’s for classic pieces and their fall collection is too good not to mention. I am eyeing this cozy sweater (and this one too!). These cute sneakers are so cute for fall paired with leggings or jeans. And don’t miss this pullover that is under $60 and comes in white too! All of these pieces are perfect for mixing and matching.
Now, let’s all hope the cooler temperatures are on the way soon!
