Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11th and the end of the school year will be here before we know it, so I’ve rounded up th ebest teacher gift ideas this in today’s post. I’ve also updated DoSayGive’s Teacher Gift Pinterest Board with so many cute DIY and creative gifts!
First, I want to tell you about our sponsor, Joy Creative Shop, who is my go-to source for modern stationery. A notepad and notecard set makes such a practical and cute teacher gift. Add so me pretty gold pencils or pretty pens for a super festive gift! Joy Creative Shop also has modern notecards for men.
I have written about teacher gifts many times over the years and what I’ve discovered is that there is not a one-size fits all formula for teacher gifts. (Because, duh, teachers are individual people with their own likes/dislikes!). So if you received an “All About Me” handout that your child’s teacher filled out at the beginning of the year then definitely start there for gift ideas. If not, here are a few pointers:
- Gift cards are always welcome! Pamper her with a Drybar gift card or send her on a shopping day with a gift card to your nice local mall. (In Dallas Northpark Gold is, well, like gold!). But when it doubt, err on the side of generic gift cards (Target, Amazon, etc.).
- Tend toward consumable gifts (i.e. fewer knick knacks). If you are going to give something non-consumable, make it really fabulous (like the gifts I found below!).
- See this post for what is an appropriate amount to spend and my thoughts on gifts for specials teachers. (Note: some schools have specific guidelines for teacher gifts so be sure to read your child’s handbook!)
Read the descriptions below to see why I love each of these teacher gifts:
