Christmas gifts for babies can be hard to shop for sometimes. After all, the family probably received lots of infant toys and baby essentials at their baby shower. So what do you get them? Well, today I’m sharing some fun and useful gift ideas for the stage beyond the newborn stage – and all are from Walmart!

Most of these gift ideas are perfect for babies ages 6-18 months. But I always remind parents: babies are developing and growing at a rapid pace, so if they don’t know how to play with or use a toy today, they probably will real soon!
For example, this classic Radio Flyer walker wagon is on our one year old gift guide and great for early walkers, but pre-walkers will love putting their toys and stuffed animals into the wagon. (Warning: older siblings will want to push them around!) This heirloom toy is on sale at Walmart right now!
On that same note, you can give a Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn toy to a six month old, but he will use and learn to enjoy it more and more as he develops. My girls had a playhouse similar to this house and loved opening and closing the door, pushing the doorbell and using the shape sorter.
Another great toy for babies are these Hide and Squeak eggs that have been on our guides for years. I love that you can get these great developmental toys at Walmart for a great price. As I said in my recent IGTV video, I like to purchase toys with longevity. Toys they will play with for more than a season and hopefully years!
Speaking of longevity, this Baby Einstein crib aquarium is all the things. From a young age, my babies have learned to push the button to turn on music and soothe themselves back to sleep. It would be the perfect toy for a baby who isn’t sleeping well;).
For cute laughs on Christmas morning, Flappy the Elephant is sure to be a hit. Louise loves his singing which is why he’s on our gift guide for a second year in a row. And for more giggles this Baby Shark puzzle sings the entire Baby Shark song. Adorable!
If you want to get something a baby needs, my favorite all natural baby bowl set would make a great gift for a baby starting out with solids.
