April showers bring showers of a different kind, especially as we head into May — bridal showers and baby showers, Mother’s Day brunches and graduation teas, and so many more celebrations. The spring seems to bring people together with all of the beautiful weather and sunshine, and we couldn’t help but feel inspired to put together an outdoor spring tablescape that’s simple and beautiful. Our favorite part? Using a few special pieces, the table lets the beauty of the natural surroundings take center stage!
These salad plates from Williams-Sonoma are a new favorite. They look like heirlooms, but are reasonably priced and dishwasher safe (a major win in our books). We paired them with simple white dinner plates and rattan placemats — a recent Amazon find! This setup would be perfect for an outdoor tea or luncheon in the spring and well into the summer, and could even be repurposed year-round with different napkins and centerpieces. Sometimes all you need is a little inspiration to be able to use what you already have on hand, to create a photo-worthy tablescape. Amazon is a great source for cloth napkins, and hosting loved ones is always a good excuse to bring out your wedding china or fancy glassware. Just add candles (which you likely already have on hand) and fresh flowers, and you’re all set!
You may recognize some of these pieces from our Easy Easter Table Inspiration post (like this beautiful tablecloth and candlesticks!), which is filled with ideas for beautiful tablescapes, too! And if you’re planning on hosting a shower, brunch, or tea anytime soon, be sure to read our post on How to Be a Gracious Hostess — it’s filled with tips on how to make guests feel welcome and at ease in your home!
