One question I’ve received from several readers lately is whether or not it’s appropriate to send Christmas cards in 2020. My answer is always the same: YES! This year has been full of hardships and disappointments, so why not send a little joy to someone’s mailbox?
This post is sponsored by Minted. Thanks for supporting the brands I love!
I am loving Minted’s holiday line this year and chose this beautiful design for our Christmas cards! It’s so easy to create holiday cards that look and feel completely custom with all of the user-friendly features on their site. Minted has so many options for customizing borders and colors to make your card unique and I personally love that their Address Assistant automatically addresses each envelope! Such a huge time saver. (And if you don’t have all the addresses gathered yet, they will send you blank envelopes for those!)
In a year where it’s crucial to support small businesses and makers, I love that Minted cards are designed by independent artists.
Another great thing about Christmas cards in 2020? Rules need not apply! You don’t need to stress about matching sibling outfits, getting your hair done, or finding the perfect spot.
Normally I would spend weeks coordinating all of this with outfits and a photographer, but this year’s photo felt more organic and true to the year we’ve had. Just the six of us (seven, if you count our dog running out of the frame!) and a self-timer in the mountains. It’s also photographic proof of our special time in Colorado — something our family will always remember. One of the best parts of our 2020.
Here are a few of my favorite designs this year, and you can find all of Minted’s lovely holiday cards here. Tell me: Are you sending out Christmas cards this year? I’d love to know!
I always use Minted. Mine are sitting in my office ready for the mail! Informal this year…very.
