We’ve heard from so many of you that our 30A guide has been so helpful as you plan your trips this summer. From the white sand beaches to crystal blue water, to all of the family-friendly activities you can think of, 30A is the perfect spot for a beach vacation! That’s why we wanted to share with you one of our favorite, off-the-beaten-path spots to visit: Eden Gardens State Park. It’s a must-visit destination in our opinion — so if you’re headed to 30A soon, be sure to add it to your list of places to see!
Many people don’t know about this beautiful, historic park just minutes away from the beach (less than 15 from Watercolor, in fact). Filled with grand moss-draped trees, it’s like taking a step back in time. It’s the perfect spot for a family picnic — although the rose and hidden gardens are not to be missed, and would make a fabulous backdrop for family photos. If your family is looking for an activity, you can hike, fish, canoe, and kayak while there, too.
But the showstopper of all of Eden Gardens is the historic Wesley House that sits in the middle of it all. Recently renovated, you can tour this stunning two-story home and see the array of heirlooms and antiques on display. They even offer guided tours on weekdays.
And if you’re looking to plan a wedding in 30A in the near future, then look no further! We can’t think of a more incredible backdrop for a wedding than Eden Gardens — and it would be a fabulous way to break up some of the beach activities.
If you’re headed to 30A anytime soon and visit Eden Gardens, you’ll have to let us know! We think you’ll absolutely fall in love with this hidden gem, just like we did.
