A skirt that will take you from church to dinner to a fun night out, plus some basic tops that you will wear all fall and winter, I’m thrilled to partner with Nordstrom today to show you these perfect fall pieces!

The weather in Dallas is finally beginning to feel like fall. I love this time of year when the sky is such a clear blue color and the air has that perfect measure of crispness. For our family, it means afternoons spent outdoors and restaurant choices based on whether a patio is involved:).
I wore this patterned, asymmetrical skirt to a cocktail hour event recently, but I bought it because I know I will be able to style it for a variety of outings – both day and night.
I love the fit and feel of this ribbed black funnel neck shell I paired with it- perfect for an evening event. It will also be a great layering piece under a blazer or cardigan. (It comes in three other fall colors as well.)
For a more casual look, I plan to pair the skirt with tall, black boots and a black cashmere sweater this ribbed sweater or I picked up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. (Another great basic to add to your fall wardrobe).
A few weeks ago I shared the top shoe trends this fall, including the block heels I recently purchased for under $100. A pair of neutral block heels like mine with just about anything (and I put them with just about everything in my closet!).
This skirt is from Nordstrom’s Olivia Palermo + Chelsea 28 line, which I think has such a great price point for the high-end look it provides. Here are some more beautiful pieces from that line:

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! All outfits are selected and styled by me and, as always, all opinions are my own.
