Whether you want to do an Advent Book Tree (read one Christmas book a day in December!) or want to give a wonderful book as a gift, here are some beautiful Christmas Books for children. Most are classic, but there are a few newer ones that are worthy of your bookshelves. Any of these would make a wonderful Christmas gift for a child or a family.
Some of my friends keep their Christmas books in a basket in the den so they (or their children!) are more likely to pick one out and read. I have another friend who wraps up 25 books under for under the tree and every day until Christmas her daughter opens a book to read. (Also good if you wait until the last minute to wrap your presents!).

And don’t forget I have an entire section on my blog of bestsellers and beautiful coffee table books for gifts this Christmas!

Thank you for these selections! Bought a couple of them tonight at a local bookstore to read to my children.
Oh good!
Hi Lee,
Your list of Christmas books is wonderful. You might also want to look at Closing the Book on Santa Claus by Ron Chandler. It is about a father who tries to save his daughter’s holiday celebration after it is cancelled at her school. He organizes a rally at city hall, but unexpected calamity prevails. Both of our children really enjoyed it.
I never thought of wrapping the books for bedtime. Love this idea! A little late but will start this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!
Oh good! I want to do it every year but never get started early enough!
