Dressing monochromatically always looks tasteful and never goes out of style. It’s something the uppercrust has mastered. Go the Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, or Sea Island this summer and you will see it done quite well. But (thankfully!) it’s a look you can recreate on any budget and still look Hamptons chic!
Let’s take this Old Navy sweater, for example. Yes, Old Navy! It’s the perfect summer weight and so pretty over a basic white tank. (Note: I am wearing the one I mentioned in this post but you can get one at Old Navy for under $10)
It looks so much more expensive than the $18 price tag. (Add cart to see discount – everything is 40% off at Old Navy right now!).
Monochromatic doesn’t have to mean everything has to be the exact same color either. When it comes to clothing, it just means in the same family. So you can pair this nude sweater with whatever slim white jeans you have in your closet. Add some nude sandals and, voila, chic on any budget!
I’m wearing my favorite white jeans from J. Crew (25% off this weekend!) but Old Navy has some great skinny jeans, too. (Note: I am 5’9 and have to order the tall in these rockstar jeans!)
I was very simple when it came to my jewelry with this outfit, but it would look great with a fabulous summer necklace or layered necklaces, too!
For sizing purposes, my sweater is a size small. (And it is roomy for a small!).
Let me know if you recreate this monochromatic look at home. Here are some weekend sales you don’t want to miss:
Old Navy – 40% off sitewide – no coded needed – lots of cute red, white, and blue for children for next weekend!
J. Crew – 25% off sitewide with code SUMMER!

Happy Weekend!

Thanks Lee! What size are you wearing in the tunic? Does it run true to size?
Small! It is a roomy small! Sorry I always forget to add that. I will add now!
