Moms, grandmothers, aunts, bonus moms, and friends — I think we can all agree that we’ve pulled out all the stops this past year to keep our little ones entertained. But there comes a point you’ve exhausted all your crafty ideas and more screen time isn’t the answer. One of my tried-and-true, go-to toys for our girls is any LEGO set I can get my hands on!
This post is sponsored by Target. Thanks for supporting the brands I love!
LEGO sets are a favorite around our house, and for good reason. They’re one of those toys that don’t really feel like a toy, if that makes sense — the girls don’t outgrow them, they play with them differently in different seasons, and LEGO bricks last forever. If you’ve been a reader for awhile, then you know I am a big believer in timeless children’s toys as well as toys that grow with our children. Especially toys that spark creativity and imagination.
And that’s truly what The LEGO Group is all about. Learning, curiosity, creativity, play — and fun! They have so many fun options for children of all ages, including their amazing architecture series and inclusive options like Braille Bricks. You really can’t go wrong with any of them for your children!
I love traditional LEGO bricks for open play but I think the themed sets are great for learning to follow step-by-step instructions. Children feel so proud when they show you their completed project!
If you’re looking for a new LEGO set or two to add to your collection, I wanted to share two of my favorites that are available at Target right now. My girls have always loved LEGO Friends and the Heartlake City Movie Theater is just too cute. I love the vintage marquee — it reminds me of a movie theater not too far from us! This LEGO City Family House Building Kit is also so cool.
Another one of my go-to things I’m going to let you in on: LEGO sets make the BEST birthday presents! If you know of one of their favorite movies or games, then chances are LEGO toys has a set just for them. This new LEGO NINJAGO Legacy Ninja Playset is also available from Target and is so cool, and a great price point, too.
Target has a ton of great LEGO sets and kits, a lot of which you can’t find anywhere else, and the best part is that it’s so easy to pick up right now. Just order curbside or for order pickup, and you’re good to go! And, if you’re buying LEGO sets as a gift, add a gift bag and card and pick those up while you’re at it. All about being super efficient over here!
