Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, and if you’ve been a reader of DoSayGive for any amount of time then you know that we cannot stress enough the importance of planning early and ahead. It’s a small way that we can show our loved ones that we care — by intentionally thinking through small things in advance, we’re able to make room and space for things like conversation and quality time (instead of running around last minute and not getting a chance to connect). One of the small things I like to do is set a beautiful table at Thanksgiving. I think a table that beckons people to sit down and stay awhile perfectly sets the scene for memories — and it doesn’t hurt that they’re lovely to look at!
I recently collaborated with Rosanne Beck to create a beautiful Thanksgiving tablescape. I wanted it to feel warm, whimsical, and elevated — I truly could not be more pleased with the result! Rosanne Beck’s designs and creations are the perfect centerpiece for any holiday table. She paints each watercolor design by hand, from place cards to table runners, placemats, coasters, and conversation starter cards, and then turns them into die-cut paper goods that add a just-right amount of color. Each piece is completely made to order, too!
I love incorporating beautiful paper goods into my tablescapes. Rosanne Beck’s pieces have a high-end look that don’t come with the high-stress feeling if there’s a spill or mess! I started with the place cards (how darling are these turkeys?) and wrote each guest’s name on them — which would be a great “job” for a child to help with on Thanksgiving Day. The turkey placemats are so unique and I used clear plates so I could show them off. You can find the exact plates I used on Amazon here!
Everything else on the table flowed from there. From candles to a floral centerpiece I recreated with flowers from Trader Joe’s, to the stunning table runner and glassware. Rosanne Beck’s designs are so colorful that it made it easy to pull different glasses and linens I already had on hand to create an eclectic, yet classic, look! And it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without everyone saying what they’re grateful for, so I topped each place setting off with a beautiful “thankful card” for every guest.
Rosanne Beck also just released her Christmas collection, and this year’s designs do not disappoint! Every bit colorful and classic, featuring her signature watercolor designs — you can shop everything from tableware to gift wrap, gift tags, and more.
