A few weeks ago I was honored to speak to a mom’s group called Fresh Spirit in Allen, TX. The day before, however, I realized I had absolutely nothing to wear in front of these 100 sweet women! So I popped in my neighborhood Anthropologie and spotted the cutest dress. It’s on major sale this week so thought I would share!

I bought this dress because it is cotton and casual so I knew I would wear it often to bebop around town. It also felt right for this casual setting of moms who get together twice a month for breakfast, conversation, and to hear various speakers.
Side note: speaking was not something I set out to do when I started DoSayGive. But after being asked a few times, I’ve realized it’s a great way for me to go a little deeper on the issues I often write about on the blog. For this particular occasion, I spoke about how to love your friends well through their struggles – what to do, what to say, and what to give, of course! I loved that I was able to share the story of our middle daughter and how, through the struggles with her, my friends showed me what true friendship and devotion really is. There was not a dry eye in the house at the end of my talk (which I hope is a good thing!).
Anyway, back to the dress! Because it’s not a thick cotton it’s perfect for transition into Spring. It would look great with a trench coat. I’ve been wearing it with booties and boots, but soon I will be wearing it with some neutral wedges that you will see a lot of this Spring.
My tote is the reversible one from this post – this is what it looks like flipped inside out. It’s truly reversible and this blush one is on sale!. This tote makes a great gift!
Don’t forget to shop all my Valentine’s Day Gift ideas from last week. Great ideas for teachers, husbands/boyfriends, and you! And don’t miss the intimates giveaway going on on my Facebook page!
