I have been following May Designs on Instagram for a long time now but just recently ordered my first notebook (after many readers suggested to do so!). I loved it so much – the quality, the design, the price – that I reached out to May Designs to see if they’d be interested in a giveaway for my readers and, good news, they said yes!
in 2009, May Designs founder, Mica May, saw a need and decided to meet it with her modern and functional notebooks. What started out as just notebooks, however, has burgeoned into offerings such as agendas, adult coloring books, meal planners, budget journals, address books and more – and all in the handy 5 x 8 size! May Designs’ constantly changing array of cover designs – often with special guest designers – allows everyone to find something they love. Either for themselves or for a thoughtful personalized gift!
I wanted something to write notes down during my Bible Study so I ordered one from May Design’s new “Chronicles of Narnia” collection. (I know, I couldn’t help myself). I love that I can clip it into my binder/notebook for easy access and all my notes will be in one place.
May Designs’ website is super easy to use. First, you pick the pattern you want, then you can personalize it with a name or monogram.
A notebook is $20 (lined or unlined) but for a three dollars more you can make it agenda, an address book, or a pregnancy diary, just to name a few. All notebooks are individually stitched and are made with eco-friendly materials.
The gift possibilities are endless: friend gifts, teacher gifts, and how cute are the children’s coloring books for classmate gifts?! An easy size to stick in mom’s purse to take out to dinner.
May Designs’ new “Tea Collection” is so cute for girls! (You know, as in the Tea Collection girls’ clothing line). I know my girls love to have little notebooks for doodling.
And those of you with Emily Ley’s Simplified Planner, May Designs offers notebook designs in matching patterns. Perfect to keep list of thank you notes you need to write or an easy accessible address book.
And how cute are these Greek patterns for college gals?!
May Designs also offers stationery ($25) and cute photo books! I love that you can give a photo book gift voucher ($20 or $30 depending on size) and for a dollar more you can design a paper card for the recipient that May Designs will mail for you. So thoughtful, right?!
Some other ways to use a May Designs notebook:
- To-do list
- Christmas gift list
- Idea book (Keep by your bed for those middle of the night thoughts!)
- Sermon notes
- Thank you note tracker
- Prayer Journal

Thank you Sara!
I have been a devoted May Designs customer with their planners and journals for 4 years – love this company! And it’s one of my favorite gifts to give! Shared on Facebook!
I am definitely late on this bandwagon! So glad several readers suggested I try them out! Several of my friends use for their agendas, too. Thanks!
As a crime victim, I do not participate in FB for privacy reasons.
I am a confirmed email subscriber to your blog.
Hope all of your giveaways are not like this.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I honestly don’t do a ton of Facebook giveaways. But I will be mindful of what you said in upcoming giveaways. Perhaps just a comment on a blog post type of giveaway. Thanks so much for following along and for your thoughts.
Love these… How have I miss out on knowing about these planners. So glad I follow your blog so you can keep me in the know of things.
Ha ha. So sweet. Thank you.
I shared on FB. Thanks for this cute giveaway!
You are welcome!
I shared! What a neat idea to have notebooks themed with Chronicles of Narnia! Much better than Moleskins. 🙂
Thank you Dorothy!
