A few weeks ago, I attended a Reward Style Masterclass and I wanted to look super chic since I knew I would be surrounded by some {super chic} fashion bloggers. (FYI, even though I post some outfits, I do not consider myself a fashion blogger…I like to say “lifestyle blogger”!). Anyway, I did want  to share the outfit I wore because I think many of you would get a lot of use out of this darling (and well-priced) black and white skirt.

In case you were wondering, Reward Style is the company that allows me to monetize my blog and use the liketoknow.it tool on Instagram. It is an incredible company (based in Dallas, no less!) and I am so thankful to be a part of it.

As a former corporate event planner, I think you can tell a lot about a company by the type of events it throws – big or small. I have found that if a company isn’t going to honor their employees/clients with a well-planned, lovely event, then they mostly aren’t doing so behind closed doors on a day-to-day basis. (In other words, a crummy event usually equates to a crummy company!).

So I was incredibly pleased at the effort and thought that went into this small gathering of Dallas-based bloggers. It was at a new restaurant called Le Taco Cantina and, if you happen to live in Dallas, the grapefruit margarita was delicious!

Being a mother of three young children, and not liking to leave them a lot at night, I don’t take part in a lot of blog networking opportunities like this so it was fantastic to meet some other bloggers in Dallas. I can’t wait to share with you some upcoming collaborations and posts!

But back to the outfit…I think my chambray top ($55), black and white skirt ($58), and heels is the perfect outfit for work, a meeting where you want to stand out, church, or just a day where you want to be a little more buttoned up, but still feminine. I don’t usually like “midi” skirts on me but I really liked this one…and, bonus, it has pockets!

This skirt would also be darling with a dressier top for a night out. This mint or coral tank (on sale!) would be cute tucked in with it along with some layered necklaces. And a crop top like this one would be darling with the skirt and would still cover your midriff if you aren’t super long-waisted.

Another option is just a really crisp white button-down shirt with the collar popped up and some fabulous jewelry!

You may want to add in a fun detail like this Carmen clutch (from the India Hicks line I told you about last week). It comes in several colors and how cute that you can change out the tassels if you wanted to add a pop of color!

And I love the interior detail with India’s signature beetle print. Such a fun gift to add to your wish list!

If you aren’t signed up for liketoknow.it. on Instagram, you can do so here. It just is another way to shop. When you see something you like I post on Instagram, if it has a #likeit hashtag, just “like” the photo and all the direct links to all the products pictured will be emailed to you.

You can also go to www.liketoknow.it/dosagive and look back at all the things I have posted with their product links. Full disclosure: I do make a (small) commission if you purchase something; it’s just one way to help me monetize my blog and keep it going!

And if you aren’t following me on Instagram be sure to! My handle is @dosaygive! (Same on Twitter, too, but I mostly just post links to articles I find interesting on Twitter…). Be sure you are following on Instagram, though, because I am doing some awesome giveaways coming up pretty soon!

Happy Monday!
