When I was looking for the perfect thing to wear for our family photos, I popped in St. Bernard Sports and discovered this chic brand that just screams summer. So, of course, I just had to share it with my readers!
Sail to Sable is the name of this brand that appealed to me at first site. Their dresses remind me so much of the bright, classic summer clothes I saw so many New England ladies wear in the summertime when my husband and I lived up there.
After I bought the dress I went home and researched the company and discovered that, lo an behold, it was started by someone from Darien, CT, which is right next to where we used to live in New Canaan (and, no surprise, is right on the coast!).
No doubt Sail to Sable takes inspiration from that effortless preppy look that women don all along the East Coast during the summer. I might have been in Florida, but this dress made me feel like I was summering in Newport or Martha’s Vineyard (both beautiful places, by the way, if you ever get a chance to go!).
This colony chic dress was just perfect for our family photos and coordinated perfectly with my girls’ Lilly dresses I snagged from Target.
Sail to Sable is carried in store and online by one of my favorite stores, St. Bernard Sports, which has free 3 -day shipping and returns (which I love!). And right now St. Bernard Sports is offering a $20 gift card with a $100+ online purchase or more! Dresses come in sizes XXS- XL.
Have you worn anything from this Sail to Sable line? My dress is so comfortable and I just love the detail on it!
Happy Summer!

Darling line Lee- and so cute on you!
It’d be cute on you, too! Love the bright colors!
Hi, I love this dress. I too just discovered this brand and want to purchase a dress like this from their website however, I am unsure about the sizing. I hope this is not too personal, but would you mind telling me what size you ordered and what your height/weight is? I’m 5’2 and weigh 117 lbs. I ordered a tunic top in XXS and it fits fine, but I am sightly bigger on the bottom half and am worried that the dress might be too tight around the hips? BTW, you look stunning in this dress. They have a similar one on sale in pink and white; but I truly love the blue. Thanks in advance for the advice!
