Classic Children’s Clothing at Nordstrom

classic children's clothing

Classic children’s clothing (i.e. clothing that is timeless and never goes out of style) can seem like it takes a lot of effort, but actually having fewer, simpler pieces in a child’s wardrobe can prove to be less of a headache – and battlefield – for parents. I think there is also a misconception that classic children’s clothing can only be found at higher end children’s boutiques. But y’all, thats simply not true! Classic children’s clothing is available at places you probably already shop, you just have to know how to find it. Today I’ve pulled some favorites for girls and boys from Nordstrom, one place I know y’all love! 🙂

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom. Thanks for supporting the brands I love.

Nordstrom has so many sweet, timeless-looking clothes right now, with the sweetest fabrics and cuts. And, yay for busy moms, everything ships and returns for free.

Rather than scrolling though pages and pages of children’s clothes, when I’m on Nordstrom.com I start by filtering down to brands I know make clothing suited to my taste. The children’s brands I like at Nordstrom include  Petit Bateau (baby), Kissy Kissy, Mini Boden, Vineyard Vines (particularly for older children), and sometimes Tucker + Tate. And I tend to stick to softer, sweeter colors and smaller patterns.

I recently found this smocked dress from Mini Boden with the most precious Liberty-looking print. It runs a little big (and I like dresses above the knee on girls) so Louise is wearing a 18m-24m.

While I love sweet classic clothing I’m certainly not stuffy about it. In the fall (and in Texas!) there’s nothing cuter than a Smocked dress and pink hand-me-down cowboy boots. At least in my book!

I’ve rounded up all of my favorite classic children’s clothing finds right now for girls AND boys at Nordstrom below. Scroll down to browse!
