My Current Favorite Products from Beautycounter!

A few months ago I wrote a review after trying Beautycounter products for the first time. Well, I wanted to give y’all an update on the current products I am using and loving.

If you haven’t heard about Beautycounter, it’s a company that seeks to provide the safest and most effective beauty products on the market. They pride themselves on not using mystery dyes, artificial fragrances, or banned ingredients. Much like other women-empowered businesses, many of the Beautycounter “consultants” are stay-at-home (or working!) mothers. (I am not a consultant but have many friends that are and love it!).

If you’ve been thinking about trying some Beautycounter products, here are four that I’m loving right now:

1. The Nourishing Cleansing Balm

I tried this Countertime Nourishing Cleansing Balm during my product review a few months ago and loved it so much I had to splurge on the full-size version. I don’t even know how to describe this other than it makes you feel like you are getting a facial at home!

I use it at night to remove my makeup but, unlike most makeup removers, it doesn’t leave my skin all chemical-smelling but really supple and moisturized. The description online says that you can also use it as a moisturizing mask at night (in other words, don’t wipe it off, just let it soak in all night!).

2. The Kids’ Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash

Ashley Carter, the Beautycounter consultant who first approached me about trying this line, told me that I would love these products for my children. I definitely like the idea of using safe and all natural ingredients for my children, but at $16 each, I was a little hesitant to try them. I had been using a $10 all natural 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash from Target so when that ran out, I decided to try the Beautycoutner line.

I must say after using them for one night I realized that I will no longer use 3-in-1 products on my children! Why? It was making my youngest’s hair super greasy! The Beautycounter products do not at all, but the conditioner still gets the tangles out with one rinse (and you dont’ need a lot – a nickel or quarter size is enough).

With the wet brush, the tangles on my middle child (who has the tangliest hair in the world!) came right out…

Again, I know $16 for shampoo seems steep. But if you can ration the amount (again, a little goes a long way!) it is worth it. Especially if you want an all natural, chemical-free product (you can read all about that in my first post!).

Note: Don’t make the mistake I did when ordering. I ordered the three separate products which totaled $48. But I didn’t realize there is a discounted package rate of $42 if you buy all three. For some reason it doesn’t show up as an option under the Kids tab. Ashley was so nice to get the price adjusted for me, but just know that is an option.

And if you just wanted to buy one of these, I would recommend the body wash. I accidentally used it as a shampoo on my toddler the other day and her hair looked fine;). And no stingy eyes on any of them!

3. Lip Gloss in Peony

My friend, Katie, gave this Beautycounter lip gloss ($26) to me and I LOVE it! I think it is a great color for most skin types (she has dark hair and wears it everyday and I have light skin and blonde hair and wear it nearly everyday!). Because it’s such a universal color, it makes a fun (and unique!) gift for a friend. I wear it solo or sometimes as a top coat on darker colors.

4. Lustro Face Oil 3bc oil

With acne prone skin, I didn’t think I would ever try oil on my face! But I read an article about how these kind of oils really don’t and can actually help with balance skin. (I don’t really understand all the science behind that stuff but my friend McCall dropped this Lustro Face Oil 3 off on my porch to try, so I did!).

I will sometimes put this on my face before I put my makeup on in the morning (my skin is really dry after this summer and it helps!). And sometimes I put it on before bed. Another product that smells like you are at the spa!

Some products I want to try next:

Tell me, if you use Beautycounter, what products are your favorites? Share below in the comments!

And don’t forget to read my original post here.

Thanks to Ashely Carter for giving me the Beautycounter products to try a few months ago and for my Dallas friends, Katie Moise and McCall Cravens, that gifted me with such great products.  If you need any help finding the right products for you, any of them would be happy to help!

  1. My favorites are the Lip Conditioner Calendula Balm (love), and the Essentials Routine Cream Cleanser. I use both every day and both last a long time because a little goes a long way!

    1. Thanks so much for sharing this! I know the routine cream cleanser is just a great everyday cleanser and not a bad price if a little goes a long way! Thanks!
