This sounds so scary!! Thank you for opening up about this. Although my husband and I are a couple years away from having children, I have a strong family history of blood clots and something like this would have never crossed my mind. I know I don't know you, but I'm so grateful that you have such a strong support system, and I'll be thinking of you, Louise and your entire family that you all continue to improve and get stronger every day. Hopefully things will continue to get better from here!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL reminders of being thankful in all circumstances. He is so faithful even in the suffering. Was just reading this week in 1 Peter 4:12… Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

A familiar verse but it hit me in a different way when I read that… although there will be suffering/loss in this world (loss of comfort, security), what there is to GAIN far surpasses that (not just joy, overjoy!). So if we lose, say, $300, we can count on making $3 million back, in other more commonplace words. So that’s a TOTAL win. Too good not to share. Praying for hope and peace admist these circumstances and a sweet nearness to the Lord- I’m sure it looks very different these days but praying you get to feel and know His presence deeply during this time.

I cried as I read this, Lee! As one who fervently prayed for you and little Louise, I am beyond grateful to the Lord for His grace, peace, and healing touch.
